While I spend my days teaching machines to recognize patterns, my evenings are often filled with the ancient art of Hindustani Classical Music. There’s something profoundly beautiful about how a centuries-old raga can express emotions that even the most sophisticated AI struggles to understand.
I’ve been studying and performing Hindustani classical vocals for several years now. The discipline required to master ragas, the patience needed to develop your voice, and the spiritual connection you feel with the music - it’s like meditation in motion. Each raga has its own personality, its own story to tell, and its own time of day when it sounds most beautiful.

You might wonder how classical music and machine learning intersect, and honestly, they’re more similar than you’d think! Both require:

My Two Fur Babies
I share my home with two absolutely adorable cats who have taught me more about patience and unconditional love than any algorithm ever could. They’re my stress-relief system, my entertainment committee, and my daily dose of pure joy. There’s nothing quite like coming home after a day of debugging complex models to find two furry friends who couldn’t care less about your code - they just want dinner and cuddles!
Foster Parent Adventures
Beyond my own cats, I regularly foster cats. It’s incredibly rewarding work - giving temporary homes to cats who need a safe space while they wait for their forever families. Each foster cat brings their own personality and story, and watching them transform from scared rescues to confident, loving pets is pure magic.
Foster parenting has taught me about resilience, adaptation, and the incredible capacity for healing that exists in all living beings. It’s also made me realize that the most important algorithms in life aren’t written in Python - they’re written in the language of compassion and care.

My cats have inadvertently become my best debugging partners. There’s something about explaining a complex problem to a cat (who stares at you with those judgmental eyes) that often leads to breakthrough moments. They’re also excellent at reminding me to take breaks - usually by walking across my keyboard right when I’m about to solve a critical issue!

Having lived in Boston gives me access to incredible outdoor opportunities, and I take full advantage of them! Whether it’s hiking in the White Mountains or tubing down Deerfield River being outdoors is my way of balancing the digital intensity of my work life.
